Dr. Amar Shinde is the Founder and Senior Psychiatrist at Aroha Rehab, leading clinical care across both Aroha centres. With over 23 years of experience, he started Aroha to offer luxury residential care for addiction and substance use disorders, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. His approach is psychiatry-led, privacy-first, and focused on making rehab feel less institutional and more like a place where people can actually recover.
Dr. Shinde is an elected member of the National Committee of the Indian Association of Psychiatrists. He has served as President of the Pune branch of the Indian Psychiatric Society and as a member of its executive council. He was also honoured with the Maharashtra Healthcare Idol award by Sakal for his community outreach and his work training future psychiatrists. At Aroha, he oversees treatment planning and makes sure every person gets respectful, confidential care.
